Gmail testing

Gmail is in limited testing for active paid monthly or annual Plus members and Classic license holders. Free accounts and free trials cannot add Gmail. You can connect multiple Gmail accounts within the ordinary paid mailbox allowance. Removing one mailbox does not prevent adding another; each existing binding keeps its own identity and recovery protection.

Payment does not guarantee that Google will allow a connection. Google testing limits, Workspace administrator policies and Advanced Protection restrictions still apply.

When you add Gmail, Orvia Mail opens the Google authorization page. You sign in with Google and approve access there; Orvia Mail receives only the tokens needed for mail access.

Because Gmail support is currently in limited beta, our Google App Verification is still in progress. During sign-in, Google displays a red warning screen: “Google hasn’t verified this app”. Don’t panic—this is standard for all apps in testing. Follow the steps below:

1. Do NOT click the big blue “Back to Safety” button (which cancels the authorization flow).
2. Click the small “Advanced” link on the left to expand hidden options.
3. At the bottom of the expanded section, click the small link “Go to Orvia (unsafe)”.
4. Check the required mail permissions on the next screen and confirm to complete setup.

Authorization supports syncing, searching, reading, replying, archiving, and sending Gmail. Orvia Mail does not store your Google password locally.

If you stop using Orvia Mail, open your Google Account third-party app access settings and revoke Orvia Mail access.

Orvia Mail communicates directly with Gmail. Gmail support is currently in beta, and some cloud AI features may be temporarily unavailable.
