Add Exchange mail

Connect Microsoft 365 or a company Exchange Server in Mac Classic 0.5.6 and bring work mail into your unified inbox.

Identify your Exchange account type

When adding a mailbox in Orvia Mail, choose Outlook, then select Microsoft 365 or Company Exchange Server. Microsoft 365 uses Microsoft’s official sign-in; company servers use Autodiscover or an administrator-provided HTTPS EWS URL.

Sign in on Microsoft’s official page

Enter your email address and continue to Microsoft to sign in and approve access. Orvia Mail never asks for or stores your Microsoft password. If individual consent is disabled, ask your administrator to approve Orvia Mail’s mail permissions.

Company server sign-in & username format

Enter your email address, username, company account password, and select Negotiate authentication where available. If credentials are rejected, try DOMAIN\username (e.g., COMPANY\jdoe) or your full work email as the username. If discovery is unavailable, enter a macOS-trusted HTTPS EWS URL under Advanced. Exchange Server 2013, 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition are supported.

Shared and delegated mailboxes require permissions

After connecting your primary mailbox, add the known address of a shared or delegated mailbox. Reading and managing mail requires mailbox access; sending from it also requires Send As or Send on Behalf permission.

This release supports Exchange mail

You can sync folders and messages, then search, reply, archive, move, and send. Calendar, contacts, tasks, and public folders are not included. Exchange support requires macOS Classic 0.5.4 or later.
